Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

This was the best food tour I’ve ever been on, and we’ve been on quite a few. Our host Joanna was terrific, and the tour is quite diverse. It focuses on historic spots that you’d never find on your own, some of them dating back to the late 1950s.

Everything was absolutely delicious, and there was a wonderful variety of foods. Some of the best food and the nicest area was in the gayborhood, a region founded by the mayor in 1980 that immediately became wildly popular and features parties every night. It looked like a really fun place to stay.

There were eight different stops plus a bonus, and we had everything from goat tacos to chocolate, banana bread, amazing coffee, popsicles, ceviche—just a wonderful assortment.

I’m definitely recommending this tour to all of my friends when they visit Puerto Vallarta.
